Nekad

Nekad.
Kami nekad, insyaAllah, to save for our 10th wedding anniversary.
Kami nekad ingin sambut di sini:

InsyaAllah Faris will be 9,
And adik-adik nya pun (insyaAllah) by that time dah usia sekolah rendah.
Boleh bawak bercuti, sekeluarga.

Nekad.
Anak teruna kami ni nekad.
Nak buat satu benda, akan dia cuma sampai boleh.
Hari ini, di rumah Bayu,
dia nekad panjat tangga sendiri.
Alhamdulillah berbuah usaha.
Sampai ke atas panjat anak tangga, tak berpimpim.
Tapi, Bonda and Ayahanda sentiasa stand by tepi dan belakang dia.

Syabas, wahai Satria kami.

Little Collection

Started a small collection of Fisher Price's Little People for Knight.
He loves it tremendously.
More so because the figures fit snugly in his tiny hands and
he can nibble on it without Ayahanda and Bonda gasping and taking it away.

So far, he has;
Surprise Sound Zoo - Sonya Lee the Zookeeper.
Lil Movers School Bus - Carlos the Bus Driver, Michael and Maggie.
Lil Movers Airplane - Pilot, Mia and Roberto
Musical Zoo Train - Eddie
Build 'n Carry Matching Animals - Carlos the Zookeeper.

Looking forward to expanding the collection.

The Loves and Irks

My days are filled with cooking, cleaning, playing with toddler, "force" toddler to nap, play with toddler some more, hanging out with Husband when he's on his work-break -- It feels like Sunday on a daily basis.

I get a workout of vacuuming the carpets once in 2 days. Sometimes, daily. New carpets tend to shed too much.

Toddler most of the time is asleep by 10pm, which allows me some CSI time. (Goodness, I've missed so many seasons. The last season I REALLY watched; Warrick was still alive and Grissom was still the head).

Inception, Twilight saga and other Summer blockbusters are out. It irks me that some parties are asking me to go out and watch those movies because apparently "life doesn't stop just because you have a baby". Mother always said no one is born stupid, but with these people, I'd beg to differ.

I still hate that people are so absolutely shocked that I'm not doing my Masters or working. That horror on their faces when I tell them I'm a homemaker just makes me want to throw something at them. But what example would I set for my son, no?

The constant "Hire maid la" or "Send la to nursery" are statements I sometimes imagine would solidify once uttered, so that I can grab it out of mid-air and shove it back down their throats. That'll teach them to not comment on things they know nothing about.

Our Corelle set will be arriving soon, insyaAllah. Then can plan for a proper house-warming.

One of my best friends, my Sri Inai sister, will be getting married at the end of the month. I am so excited for them.

I love our home.

The Code of Harry

Man, human beings, always feel this need to be powerful.
They do it in their own ways.
Some run for office, to lead. To conquer.
Some have this hunger to be filthy rich.
And there are those who gain power by killing.

There are too many cold cases in this world.
There are too many criminals out and about due to legal loopholes,
Or a minute mistake by the authorities.

For those victims that never saw justice served, that vigilante feeling must have probed at you from within, everytime the headline reads of a bloody murder; especially those involving children.

In comes "Dexter" and his Code of Harry.
Dexter is a serial killer whose victims are those deserving of their ends.
Criminals. Killers.

But if you asked me, no one has the right to play God.
And to kill those criminals would be a mercy they do not deserve.

I love "Dexter".
Season 5 is going to rock!
